California Fault Line

To mark the tenth anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake in northern California, the Exploratorium in San Francisco has developed an online resource exploring the reality of living with earthquakes and examining state-of-the-art research and technologies for studying plate tectonics and predicting earthquakes. A series of Webcasts vividly documents the findings of an Exploratorium team traveling along the San Andreas fault. Web site visitors who have experienced a California earthquake can post their own observations.
