Full TextFormaldehyde: Some surprises at home

A new study finds that many products used in the home—including resin-based floor finishes and unwashed permanent-press fabrics—can emit unexpectedly high amounts of formaldehyde, which is a respiratory irritant and suspected carcinogen.
