Looking for La Niña El Niño disappeared last summer and was replaced by La Niña, a cooling of the tropical Pacific waters. Like its warmer sibling, La Niña can warp normal weather patterns around the globe. To find out how things are going, check out the La Niña page, operated by the National Centers for Environmental Prediction. You can learn what kind of weather has accompanied past La Niña episodes and read about the causes of these warmings and coolings. http://nic.fb4.noaa.gov:80/products/analysis_monitoring/lanina/index.html |
