Fossil Fish Alive One of the greatest fish stories ever told has inspired an informative Web site for all matters coelacanth. The big blue fish was believed extinct until a trawler off South Africa brought one up in 1938. Even then, the discovery would have passed unnoticed if a young museum curator had not ignored her boss's advice.
