A little out there... but are there any indications of these head coverings being used to hide "large craniums"?
I saw some info on Coneheads [no, not the movie!!] where the actual skulls are in museams in Mexico, etc., but not referred to in anthropology courses despite their existence.
Just sayin'.... its not all being told to us.
