Adding up

Most variation in human height is genetic, but studies looking at common changes in DNA have failed to account for a huge portion. Many researchers are now turning to rare changes to explain the discrepancy.

  • This image seems very misleading. Variance is expressed as a portion of total height as if the heritable part of height could be measured in inches. That cannot be correct.
