“Go-getter” type is heart attack candidate — The American “go-getter” type is a prime candidate for a heart attack. There appears to be a strong link between the behavior of a man with regard to his business and social activities and his chances of being a victim of a heart attack, two San Francisco specialists have suggested. Intensive studies to determine the reasons for the marked increase in coronary disease and the increased incidence of heart attacks among both younger and older men and women suggest that: A person who is full of drive toward previously selected goals; loves competition, both in work and play, and strives to “best” the other fellow; … is a person who is likely to suffer a heart attack.
