She previously worked as an assistant editor at The Atlantic and a health reporter at TIME, where she covered reproductive health, FDA and the wellness industry and death and aging. Her work as a freelance writer has been published in The Washington Post, VICE, Slate and elsewhere, and her stories on the offbeat and the macabre have inspired at least one Grey’s Anatomy diagnosis and one Jeopardy! question. She holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
