With Theta, 2020 sets the record for most named Atlantic storms

The subtropical storm southwest of the Azores is the 29th named storm, surpassing 2005’s record

Although expected to remain relatively weak and away from land over the next few days, Subtropical Storm Theta (upper right swirl) was spinning over the Atlantic Ocean southwest of the Azores with maximum sustained winds of about 110 kilometers per hour as of November 10.
