Self-reported cognitive struggles have nearly doubled in people ages 18 to 39 since 2013

A young Black woman with light-colored hair sitting on stairs looks at her phone. She has a furrowed brow and her lips are pursed as if in worry or confusion. Her right hand is on her brow and her left holds a phone.

Nearly twice as many young adults reported cognitive disability in 2023 as in 2013. The reasons for the increase aren’t known.
