Comb jellies have a bizarre nervous system unlike any other animal

Sea walnuts (Mnemiopsis leidyi) like these pictured are ctenophores, jellyfish-like animals that move by beating iridescent combs. Their nerve cells are fused together, unlike those of all other known animals.
