EHT data show turbulence makes the glowing ring around M87’s black hole wobble
Famous for the first-ever image of a black hole, M87* is now revealing how it changes over time
The first image of a black hole (shown) was created using 2017 observations from the Event Horizon Telescope. Earlier data from the telescope have now revealed how the appearance of this black hole, at the center of the galaxy M87, has changed over time.
