SHOT TIME  A boy in Malaysia receives the bacille Calmette-Guérin, or BCG, vaccine against tuberculosis, which was introduced in 1921 and can protect children from the disease, but doesn’t work well for adults. A clinical trial reports a new tuberculosis vaccine was effective in adults with latent infections.
